Since earning her BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 1999, Casey’s exhibited her paintings regionally and nationally, with solo shows in Cleveland, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco. She was awarded the 2009 Cleveland Arts Prize as an emerging artist, 2 Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Awards, CPAC’s Creative Workforce Fellowship program and an Ohio Arts Council summer residency at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Casey began making etchings while artist in residence at Zygote Press in Cleveland in 2006 and continues working at the cooperative print studio today. Represented by Zg Gallery in Chicago and Michael Foley Gallery in New York, she lives and works in a crooked little blue house in Cleveland, Ohio. Amy means well but frequently forgets she has a blog. She also feels lurpy writing about herself in the third person.
